Description
The jewellery collection is inspired by the Thor’s Hammer pendant from the Viking days. Thor was the Vikings god of thunder who used his hammer to rule and wield justice. During a thunderstorm, Thor was believed to be riding a chariot pulled by goats along the sky. The hammer blows created thunder, and the sparks created lightning. A pendant representing a hammer became a common symbol of Thor, also believed to contain forces that protected against evil. The pendant was worn especially by the notorious Vikings. Design by Tony Granholm.
