Kalevala Jewelry Häiväoja I ring

NOTE! The ring is a made-to-order product. Kalevala Jewelry's production is closed during the summer. Deliveries for custom work will continue in August 2020.

The ultramodern silver jewelry designed by Häiväoja looks just as futuristic today as it did more than half a century ago. In the autumn of 2019, two silver rings that were designed by Paula Häiväoja in the 1960s will return to Kalevala’s selection. The rings are not only examples of the design language characteristic of Häiväoja, but also time images of the open-mindedness and faith in the future of 1960s Finnish design. Material: silver

Width: 5 mm
Diameter: 40 mm
Design: Paula Häiväoja
Product code: 2470190

Paula Häiväoja (1929 - 2011) was the first female chief designer of Kalevala Koru. She graduated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki with a degree in art and design in 1953 and started as a designer at Kalevala three years later. Häiväoja worked as the chief designer from 1963 until 1967, when he moved on to become a freelance designer and opened his own studio.
