The history of the Swiss watch-making icon, TAG Heuer, dates back to the 1860s, when 20-year-old Edouard Heuer founded a watch workshop in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Initially, the brand was called Heuer, but in 1985, the Saudi Arabian TAG (Techniques d'avant-garde) bought Heuer-Leonidas, at which point the company’s name was changed to the current one. In 1999, TAG Heuer became the property of French LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA.
